Buyer Beware:  Dual Agency

Beware many real estate agents practice “dual agency” or “disclosed dual agency”; meaning they work with both the buyer and seller in the same transaction.  Working in this way agents maximum their income by receiving the full real estate commission (twice as much income).

It is my choice to not practice dual agency so that I can ensure my Client’s best interests are always represented with undivided loyalty.  I do not work with both sides in the same transaction (buyer and seller for same property) because I feel strongly it creates a financial and fiduciary conflict of interest.

Your first step as a home buyer is to decide what level of service, advocacy, and agency representation you want to have while purchasing one of the most expensive investments in your lifetime.

Home Buyer Consultation

Contact me to schedule a Home Buyer Consultation when you are ready to purchase a new home in Arlington, Belmont, Cambridge, Medford, or Somerville, Massachusetts. We can meet in person or virtually from the comfort of your own home or office.

You will receive my detailed Home Buyer Guide and we will review the following home buying aspects during our first meeting:

  • Detailed explanation of the home buying process in Massachusetts
  • Explanation of your rights as a home buyer
  • Comprehensive market statistics and home sale trends (past 10 years)
  • Current home buying trends in the areas you want to live
  • Home search advice and how to protect your best interests
  • Overview of fiduciary responsibilities and services as your Buyer Agent

My goal is to provide you with the most reliable information and residential market statistics to make educated decisions with confidence and peace of mind.
