Buyer Beware: Dual Agency
Beware many real estate agents practice “dual agency” or “disclosed dual agency”; meaning they work with both the buyer and seller in the same transaction. Working in this way agents maximum their income by receiving the full real estate commission (twice as much income).
It is my choice to not practice dual agency so that I can ensure my Client’s best interests are always represented with undivided loyalty. I do not work with both sides in the same transaction (buyer and seller for same property) because I feel strongly it creates a financial and fiduciary conflict of interest.
